Watch Your Step, Folks…

Wow, did our nation just step back from the precipice? Maybe there’s hope for us yet. Perhaps the nation isn’t as stupid as I thought. Maybe Lincoln was right: “You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.” I was beginning to wonder if we were watching the beginning of the fall of our version of western civilization.

On a different note, I’m rather happy with this from yesterday:

Man, I gotta fix the width of this page.


We were busy today.
Weeded the side and front flower beds and the beds next to the driveway.
Spread bags and bags of mulch.
Did the grocers.
Cooked a roast in the crockpot with fingerling potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, celery and onions. Yum!
Did the laundry.
Cat made the graham cracker pie shells for the lemon pie she’s making tomorrow.
