The clouds and cooler temperatures this morning were a welcome reprieve from the summer heat. Perhaps Fall is upon us...

Three weeks into my photography classes in Tehachapi and I finally made time to stop for a photo... From this morning, the seven o'clock hour: ... See MoreSee Less
That cloud really does look like a genie.
That cloud looks like a ghost.👻
I love the golden hills next to the blue sky and white cloud. With this crazy heat I'm surprised the whole area around there hasn't all gone up in smoke. Must be too hot for the arsonists to be out.
Looks like a genie to me

Almost directly across from where I took the earlier photograph of the vineyard I saw this barn nestled in the trees. It was this barn that made me decide to turn around a go back... I would have liked a little less shadows on the barn, but sometimes you take what you get. ... See MoreSee Less
I think the shadows on the barn give it more character and depth.
Beautiful photos my friend. I loved the vineyard, but this one takes the cake! You are much talented.

A vineyard just off Highway 101 at 175 in Mendocino County.
I drove past this spot and almost didn't stop. I thought twice and doubled back, parking on the opposite side of the road. I grabbed my camera and started across only to be surprised by an oncoming car I hadn't noticed. The car wasn't moving very fast, but I still hustled to get out of the way. My big feet didn't keep up with me and I took a tumble! My only thought was protecting my camera, and I landed squarely on my right knee and my elbows. I rolled onto my back, camera raised above me, as the car slowed to check on me... I said I was fine, and the car moved on. But that was far from the truth... I was out of breath from the pain in my knee and the shock of the fall. After I recovered, I got up and got the shot. Was it worth all of that? I don't know... ... See MoreSee Less
At least you have a good story!

BEAUTIFUL PHOTO :) was worth it :) :)
Yes it was!!!
This is worth at least two extremities. Outstanding shot. 🔥
It was worth it if you didn't permanently damage your knee!
Hope you're okay! This is amazing!
Yikes! The pic is beautiful.
Better start paying attention!! 😳

Been a busy few days and I'm just getting around to posting this. From last Thursday. Bruce's Truck Stop sign on Hwy 58 in east Bakersfield. Of course, as I was shooting this, a man came up to me to and, in the course of our conversation, he told me the sign would be coming down soon. Ah, Bakersfield... how little regard you have for your history and culture. ... See MoreSee Less
I know what I am doing this weekend going and getting a photo of this sign. its been on my to do list for awhile
Go to Pioneer Village in Bakersfield. A bunch of them are there along with the history of Bakersfield and surrounding towns. It's an interesting place.
