Details from Downtown

Some street and abstract shots from my time wandering downtown this morning. Great light this morning…

Old corrugated sheet metal and a bit of weathered wood. Found in an alley.

Wooden doors. Near 21st street and Q.

Beautiful weathered surfaces, deep shadows and bright light.

A little bit of corrugated heaven.

On A Drive

I took a drive up the Kern River Canyon this morning, then looped around Lake Isabella, through Kernville, into Wofford Heights, over Alta Sierra and then back around through Glenville before returning home. I shot some film, yet to be developed, and some digital shots along the way. Here are the highlights…

A long exposure of the water tumbling over rocks on the Kern river.

Another view, long exposure of water and rocks. Near the mouth of the canyon, Kern river.

Light through the trees, on the old road in the Kern River Canyon.

Near Kernville. Reflections of the skies above the Kern River Valley.

Ranchland near Kernville, looking east.

Below Alta Sierra, thunderheads forming…

Sunday Sunrise
