From this afternoon. Downtown Bakersfield.

Please be on the lookout!!! And, please share!

Local Bakersfield artist (and my friend and mentor), Charlotte White, had a recent break-in. Pieces of art, art supplies, and a lot of her tools and equipment were all taken.

From Charlotte:

"My car and four storage units were broken into on Tuesday evening, September 27th. Be on the look out for:

an oil painting of the Fox Theatre (approximately 20" x 10", wrapped canvas

a new umbrella with a silver reflective lining (still in the box)

a pack and roll box with a pink and black back pack full of watercolor paints, w/c brushes, sketch books, and miscellaneous w/c supplies

a pack and roll box with a back bag full of oil paints, oil brushes, a pot used to clean brushes, a apron, sketch books, and miscellaneous oil paintings supplies

a pack an roll box with 20 school grade watercolor boxes, 100 school quality watercolor brushes, pencils, with erasers, kneaded erasers, watercolor paper, foam core drawing pads. (These items belonged to my school and were to be used a a school field trip to the Kern Count Fair).

a black soft side briefcase with two watercolor commissioned paintings in process, including references photographs. (One was a trip to Rome and the other was a wedding couple.)

a second black soft side briefcase with a white notebook used a satellite BAA shows, small adding machine, and a cashbox. (The cashbox is probably empty of all cash by now)

a blue plastic box (approximately 12" x 12" x12") and a brown plastic box (approximately 12" x 12" x12") with miscellaneous BAA show materials and Charlotte White;s show materials inside.

a small box (approximately 4" x 12" x 5") with the BAA credit card machine, credit card slips and a adding machine

three plastic storage boxes (turquoise blue) (approximately 1 1/2 Ft. x 2" Ft. x 1 1/2 ft.)

a white card display rack 3Ft. x 2 ft. x 2 ft.)

two small cameras, one new and still in the box with other was blue and well used. I really need the memory sticks as I use the cameras for customers painting orders.

This is only a partial list of what was stolen. I filed a police report. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
